Job Summary and Key Objectives

·         This Role will be responsible the planning and execution of Dive Projects and ensure that dive projects are carried out with out unacceptable risk to the health and safety of our divers, and in accordance with the requirements and prohibitions of and relevant laws and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

·         Record and maintain dive logs to include a detailed depth, bottom time and decompression profile.
·         Conduct “Tool box talks” and job reviews with the dive team
·         Ensure the dive location has access to a two-way communication system to obtain emergency assistance
·         Establish dive plans ensuring sufficient breathing mixtures, supplies and proper equipment are available
·         Coordinate production between the dive team to achieve production goals and efficiency.  Maintain production pace by working side by side with the production supervisors to show what is expected.

·         Provide technical expertise and coaching to resolve any production issues and verifying the execution of corrective actions.

·         Make sure Company Policies regarding Health, Safety, & Environmental are followed to maintain facility compliance.

·         Ensure that any necessary documentation including operating manuals, decompression tables, treatment schedules and regulatory publications are available and maintained at the dive location

·         Communicate daily with QC Manager or client inspector to verify hold point inspections have been completed and the production process can move forward.  Communication with the QC Manager should also include any information pertinent to the quality of the production process.

·         Report all accidents involving dive personnel according to company standards and government regulations

·         Ensure all divers are physically able to perform Dive operations without risk to their health and safety while in the water or under hyperbaric conditions

·         Ensure any dive equipment is suitable for the dive, inspected prior to dive, and in working order

 

 

 

Preferred Qualification and Education

·         7 years experience in commercial diving

·         Acts as a role model for safe and professional behavior 

·         Able to motivate people to be productive and efficient every day
